Why you shouldn’t have offspring

How to look at the future without children. A topic that will be like oil on fire for people who leave their behavior to instinct.

The loudest argument for having children is that society will age and there will be no one to support the next generation. This argument is presented as fact, although in reality it is a local and selective view of the world. Demographics are not the same everywhere, and it is absurd to ignore this.

In some countries, the population is declining, while in others it is growing uncontrollably. Globally, there is no shortage of people, but there is a lack of balance. The problem is not that there are no young people, but that they are not being born where the system can absorb them, and not in sufficient numbers to ensure the stable functioning of society. “There will be no one to work” – ignoring reality.

The idea that each generation must necessarily support the next is itself flawed. It is based on the assumption that human reproduction is the only way to maintain the meaningful functioning of systems. This does not correspond to today’s reality. Automation, increased efficiency and technology are already reducing the need for a large workforce.

Furthermore, it is not rational to have children solely for the purpose of supporting others in the future. This means viewing people as tools rather than individuals.

The disappearance of culture is also mentioned, but culture is not determined by birth rates. It is determined by ideas, knowledge and the desire to preserve it, which can also be achieved in other ways. Quality is more important than quantity.

A future without children is not a void. It is a society that ceases to live by its reproductive instinct and begins to make decisions based on facts rather than fear.
